About Intersection

Intersection is a service that 'revives' the Japanese niconico video application for the Nintendo Wii U and 3DS family of systems. However, it does not provide data from niconico, it provides data from YouTube instead.
The reasons for this being:

• There does not seem to be a clear way to fetch data from niconico
• It is somewhat difficult to get videos from niconico
• On versions of the 3DS app that have StreetPass Marketing, I just think it would be cool to advertise YouTube videos via something like StreetPass Relay
• With the project being in English, and a target userbase that is mostly English, I kind of doubt there would be most interest in this revival if it only had (mostly) Japanese content, sorry...

Currently, it is not yet possible for people to actually use the application on either system, because the only publicly available (at least to my knowledge) and well-known network replacement, Pretendo Network, does not yet allow anyone to create third-party servers for titles they will not support themselves, and in turn, does not have any way to get information of a Network ID from a service token. (basically, it is a key that the application requests from the network to log into or register an account tied to the user's Network ID)
So, until that is implemented, nobody can use the application with this revival. Sorry.
